On a rainy summer day in Scandia, Minnesota, the long-running Poplar Hill Dairy Goat Farm opened its gates for the very first Goats & Guitars event. What began with umbrellas, muddy boots, and a drizzle of uncertainty quickly transformed into a heartwarming community gathering filled with baby goat cuddles, fresh cheese, live music, and laughter.

Set against the backdrop of over 50 years of family tradition, the video captures the spirit of the farm, the resilience of its visitors, and the magic that happens when music, animals, and neighbors come together—rain or shine.

Tucked into the rolling hills of Minnesota, Poplar Hill Dairy Goat Farm has been a quiet fixture in the Scandia community for over fifty years. a place where tradition, care, and a lot of goat milk created a legacy. And on one summer day in 2025, that legacy opened its gates to something new.

The forecast called for rain—and the clouds delivered. But so did the people. Families came anyway. Boots in the mud, coats zipped tight, drawn by the promise of goats and guitars.

There were goats to cuddle, goats to feed, goats doing whatever goats do best—being adorable, unpredictable, and totally irresistible.

From goat milking to fresh cheese to curious stares from four-legged locals… Poplar Hill opened its gates, and its heart.

The band waited. The grill sizzled in the rain. The family behind the farm? Still flipping burgers, still serving smiles.

And then—like a well-timed chorus—the skies cleared.

The sun poured in. Guitars played. Goats watched with curious eyes as Prairie Anthem filled the air. The mud dried, the crowds grew, and laughter carried across the pasture.

What started as a soggy Saturday turned into something unforgettable—a community gathering in the purest sense. Simple joys, shared moments, and just enough goat magic to go around.

This wasn’t just the first Goats & Guitars. It was a memory in the making—a day that reminded us what community feels like. Joy, connection, and music.
